The film is interspersed with clips of interviews with the prisoners, action shots, documentary footage of Vietnam, and clips of American anti-Communist propaganda. The prisoners are questioned about their treatment at the prison, in particular how their treatment compares to the violent and barbaric depictions of the Vietnamese shown in American anti-Communist propaganda
