In diesem Aufsatz beschreibt Lukáš Přibyl sehr detailliert das Schicksal jener Frauen und Männer, welche am 1. September 1942 in das Konzentrationslager Raasiki in Estland deportiert wurden. Die vorliegende Arbeit ist ein Ergebnis des Forschungsprojekts über Deportationen aus Theresienstadt in das Baltikum. Zugrunde liegen ihr neben älteren Materialien vor allem neue Dokumente aus estnischen Archiven sowie zahlreiche Erinnerungen von Überlebenden. In seinem stark erzählerischen Artikel schafft der Autor, nicht zuletzt wegen der häufigen Verwendung des Zitats, ein Bild, in dem der Alltag im Konzentrationslager mit seinen unterschiedlichen Aspekten gut und anschaulich herausgearbeitet ist. Angesichts der Tatsache, dass die Erforschung des Holocausts in Estland noch nicht sehr weit fortgeschritten ist, versteht der Autor seine Arbeit als kleinen Schritt in Richtung einer umfangreichen Bearbeitung der Thematik.
