Till Lindemann tritt hier erneut als Lyriker in Erscheinung (zuletzt "In stillen Nächten", ID-G 3/14). Auch beim nun vorliegenden Band handelt es sich nicht um Songtexte, sondern tatsächlich um Gedichte - auch wenn es natürlich nicht ausgeschlossen ist, dass der eine oder andere Text doch noch vertont wird, wie das Vorwort darlegt. Die 100 Gedichte kreisen um Themen wie Liebe, Schmerz, Gewalt, Einsamkeit, aber auch um die Natur, den Körper und die Sprache. Ansonsten gilt weiterhin das Urteil von U. Koch aus der Rezension von "In stillen Nächten": "Sowohl die Bilder als auch die Texte spielen mit teilweise gewalttätigen Lustpraktiken und erinnern an Ausgaben der Texte des Marquis de Sade. Die Gedichte ... wirken stellenweise hölzern und gewollt. Immer wieder aber finden sich zwischen den Zeilen kleine Perlen und Schätze, die dem Buch einen eigenen Reiz geben." Weniger aufgrund der literarischen Qualität, sondern eher wegen der Bekanntheit des Autors und der Platzierung auf der Spiegel-Bestsellerliste kann durchaus Nachfrage entstehen.
