Eine verständlich und flüssig geschriebene Biografie Friedrich Nietzsches (1844-1900) aus der Feder des Publizisten und Rundfunkmitarbeiters F. Lisson (zum Autor s. "Kein Tag, den nicht die Nacht gebar", ID 28/00). Die Darstellung setzt bei der Geburt Nietzsches im Pfarrhaus zu Röcken (heute Sachsen-Anhalt) ein, begleitet ihn auf seinen verschiedenen Lebenssituationen, thematisiert seine oft problematischen zwischenmenschlichen Beziehungen wie etwa die zu Lou Andreas-Salomé und endet mit seinem Tod und der Wirkungsgeschichte seines Werkes. Dabei vermittelt sie auch Einblicke in sein geistiges Schaffen von der "Geburt der Tragödie aus dem Geist der Musik" bis "Also sprach Zarathustra". Der Text wird reihenüblich ergänzt durch zahlreiche, z.T. farbige Abbildungen und durch farblich abgesetzte Einschübe mit Zitaten, Anekdoten und Briefauszügen.
