jpc: Das Ensemble Concerto »Melante« (der Name ist ein Anagramm von »Telemann«), hat bereits für seine erste CD »Spirituosa« herausragende Besprechungen bekommen: »Wer denkt Telemann zu kennen, sollte sich diese CD zulegen, damit seine Kenntnisse gehörig erweitert werden«. (Toccata) Zum Telemann- Jubiläum in diesem Jahr hat sich das Ensemble, welches aus Mitgliedern der Berliner Philharmoniker, der Akademie für Alte Musik und anderer renommierter Ensemble besteht, erneut auf die Suche nach verlorenen Schätzen Telemanns gemacht und ist fündig geworden. Concerto Melante entdeckte die beiden Kantaten »Sey tausendmahl willkommen«( TVWV 13: 9a) und »Du bleibest dennoch unser Gott« (TVWV 13: 9b) sowie drei sehr interessante Kammermusiksonaten (TWV 42: e7 und e: 8 , TWV 43: G13), die sie auf diesem Album als Weltersteinspielungen präsentieren. Eine weitere Besonderheit ist der Choral »Ein feste Burg«, der auf dem Album sowohl in vier verschiedenen Versionen des Originals von Johann Walter auf der Textgrundlage von Martin Luther wie auch als Motette von Telemann zu hören ist. Eine Art musikalischer »Gottesdienst« nicht nur im Zeichen des Telemann-Jubiläums, sondern auch des Reformationsjahrs.
