Anhand von vier Beispielen der aktuellen Theaterpraxis, Inszenierungen von Jossi Wieler, Guy Cassiers, Johan Simons und Rimini Protokoll, erfolgt eine Analyse dezidiert theatraler Fiktionalisierungsprozesse, die das historisch gewachsene und unterschiedlich bewertete Verhältnis von Fiktion des literarischen Textes und fiktionaler Komponenten der Aufführung in neue Perspektiven rückt.
