Der mehrfach preisgekrönte Schriftsteller Bernhard Jaumann lebt zurzeit in Windhoek, Namibia. Dort spielt auch sein neuer Roman, 1989 fiel der (reale) Anton Lubowski, Apartheidsgegner und Förderer der namibischen Unabhängigkeit, einem Attentat zum Opfer, das Agenten einer südafrikanischen Geheimorganisation verübten. Der Fall wurde nie aufgeklärt, die mutmaßlichen Täter, namentlich bekannt, wurden nie vor Gericht gestellt. Mit den Mitteln eines Romans erzählt der Autor den Ablauf des Verbrechens, wie es sich abgespielt haben könnte. Er lässt, im heutigen Namibia, die junge, gut ausgebildete und kompetente Polizeibeamtin Clemencia Garises einen mehrfachen Mörder suchen, der die Mörder Lubowskis der Reihe nach umbringt. Dabei gelingt B. Jaumann eine reizvolle Verflechtung von Fiktion und Fakten und zudem ein spannender Roman voller Farbe und Leben, Tragik und Komik. Nach seiner Montesecco-Reihe (zuletzt "Die Augen der Medusa", BA 11/08) und den Krimis über die 5 Sinne (zuletzt "Saltimbocca", BA 8/02) der vielversprechende Auftakt zu einer neuen Serie, die möglichst breit angeboten werden sollte.
