Enthält new interview program with actors Madhabi Mukherjee (Charulata) and Soumitra Chatterjee (Amal) recall their contribution to Charulata and discuss the shooting process. The two actors also discuss Satyajit Ray's directing style and the manner in which he communicated with the cast during and after the shooting of the film. The interviews were conducted exclusively for Criterion in Calcutta in 2013. In Bengali, with optional English subtitles. (17 min) ; "Adapting Tagore" - in this new video program, Indian film scholar Moinak Biswas and Bengali cultural historian Supriya Chaudhuri discuss director Satyajit Ray's adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore novella The Broken Nest, as well as the Bengali director's legacy.
