"Nichtparametrische Datenanalyse" enthält eine umfassende Darstellung von nichtparametrischen Methoden zur statistischen Modellierung und Auswertung von Experimenten, wobei viele seit langem bekannte Verfahren in einer neuartigen Sichtweise beschrieben werden. Diese gestattet nicht nur die einheitliche Behandlung von metrischen Daten mit stetigen sowie beliebig unstetigen Verteilungen, sondern auch die Analyse von ordinalen und sogar dichotomen Daten mit den gleichen Methoden. Die vorgestellte Modellierungstechnik erlaubt eine elegante Verallgemeinerung der bekannten Rangverfahren auf vielfältige Versuchsanlagen. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die ausgezeichnete Darstellung des nichtparametrischen Behrens-Fisher Problems und die anschauliche Einführung in die Analyse mehrfaktorieller Versuchsanlagen mit Hilfe der Matrizentechnik. Zahlreiche Beispiele zur Durchführung von Berechnungen mit SAS und 80 Übungsaufgaben runden die Darstellung des Stoffes ab. Die zweite Auflage wurde gründlich durchgesehen und wo nötig korrigiert und ergänzt. .
