Die vorliegende Dissertation nimmt sich eines dieser ""weißen Flecken"" an, indem sie das politische Wirken des Grafen Adolf v. Arnim-Boitzenburg in den Blick nimmt, der zu Unrecht dem Vergessen anheimfiel: Arnim wurde 1842 jüngster Innenminister und am 19. März 1848 erster Ministerpräsident Preußens.
