"La poésie d'amour n'est pas majoritaire au Moyen Âge, contrairement à l'impression que nous laissent parfois les manuels et anthologies. Nous nous intéresserons ici à cet autre versant de la littérature, profondément anti-érotique et même misogyne : la poésie didactique. Les oeuvres morales qui la constituent se définissent par oppostiion à la chanson d'amour ou canso des troubadours : si le mode de prédilection de la canso est lauzars, celui du sirventès ou du Sangspruch des poètes allemands (discours changé) sera blasmars. Vu sous cet angle, même le panctus y trouve sa place : le poète devient laudator tempris acti.
