Die in diesem Band vereinten Texte von Tahar Ben Jelloun (Prix Goncourt 1987) widmen sich dem Thema "Arabischer Frühling". In der Titelgeschichte "Par le feu", werden die letzten Tage im Leben eines jungen Tunesiers beschrieben. Für diese fiktionale Erzählung hat der Autor sich die Lebensgeschichte des tunesischen Gemüsehändlers Mohamed Bouazizi zur Vorlage genommen, dessen Selbstverbrennung die Protestbewegung in Tunesien nach sich zog, die zum Sturz von Präsident Ben Ali führte. Auf "Par le feu" folgen Sachtexte und fiktionale Texte, die dem Band "L'Étincelle" (deutscher Titel: "Arabischer Frühling", ID-A 20/11) entnommen sind. Abgerundet wird das ganze durch Fragen zum Textverstehen (ohne Lösungen) und einer Kurzbiografie des Autors. In der Reihe "Éditions Klett" erschien zuletzt J. Echenoz: "14" (ID-A 7/14).
