Content:
Der serologische Nachweis einer Infektion mit einem der equinen Encephalitisviren erfolgt normalerweise mittels Hämagglutinations-Hemmungs-Test oder Neutralisations-Test. Diese Testverfahren haben Nachteile wie zB Umgang mit infektiösen Viren der Sicherheitsstufe drei und den Mangel an Möglichkeiten einer exakten Virus Identifizierung. Vor diesem Hintergrund wurde eine Studie durchgeführt, in der ein Epitop Blocking Immunoassay mit rekombinaten Antigenen und monoklonalen Antikörpern für den Nachweis von Alphavirusgruppen, WEEV Serokomplex spezifischen und EEEV Serokomplex spezifischen Serumantikörpern entwickelt wurde. Für das VEEV Subtyp IAB wurde ein gesondertes Testverfahren auf ELISA Basis ermittelt. Vorstellung der Studie: Material und Methoden, Ergebnisse sowie Diskussion der Ergebnisse in Bezug auf deren praktischen Anwendung bei Aufklärung von Infektionen mit equinen Encephalitisviren.(MOD)
