Einer von Telemanns Leitsätzen beim Komponieren lautete: "Gib jedem Instrument das, was es leiden kann, so hat der Spieler Lust, du hast Vergnügen dran". Dieses Motto kann man bedenkenlos über die fünf ausgewählten Flötenkonzerte stellen, die über einen Zeitraum von mehr als zwanzig Jahren entstanden und die Auseinandersetzung des Komponisten mit der Gattung Konzert für Flöte in unterschiedlichen Kombinationen (allein, zwei Flöten, mit Streichern oder anderen Bläsern kombiniert) deutlich machen. - Emmanuel Pahud spielt auf einer modernen Böhmflöte, die Berliner Barocksolisten begleiten dazu auf historischen Instrumenten und das Ergebnis beweist, dass zu keiner Zeit eine Diskrepanz hörbar wird zwischen dem Anspruch, Barockmusik auf historischen Instrumenten zu spielen und dem Einsatz von Pahuds moderner Flöte. Abseits von Bach und Mozart ergibt sich hier ein lohnendes Repertoire eines Komponisten, der oft nur als produktiv bekannt ist. Weite Verbreitung ist wünschenswert. (pr)
