Wir sind auf dem Weg in die 'Informationsgesellschaft'. sie hotten, daB die Technik uns schwere, gefahrliche Viele drangen auf diesen Weg, weil und stupide Arbeit abnimmt, uns von langweiligen und zeitraubenden Tatigkeiten befreit, die FOlie mensch lichen Wissens jedem zuganglich macht, uns hilft, unser Denken und un sere Phantasie erst richtig zu entfalten, und bei ailed em auch noch die wirtschaftliche Pro duktivitat gewaltig steigert. NOchternere Verfechter verweisen schlicht auf die Zwange des Weltmarkts. Wer aber fragt danach, was geschieht, wenn hochsensible Daten durch Trojanische Pferde' fOr Unberechtigte zuganglich werden, wenn sich in einem gesellschaftsweiten Computernetz 'Viren' ausbreiten oder wenn lebenswichtige Informations-und Steuerungs systeme durch 'Iogische Bomben' zerstert werden? Welche sozialen Kosten in Form von Freiheits- und Demokratieverlusten wird die 'sichere' 'Informationsgesellschaft' verursa chen? Wird sie trotz groBer Anstrengungen Oberhaupt das MaB an Sicherheit erreichen kennen, das bei einer hohen gesellschaftlichen Abhangigkeit von dieser Technik erforder Iich ware?
