Bei sachgerechter Anwendung führt es zu ähnlich überraschenden Produktivitätsverbesserungen wie in japanischen Unternehmen. PPM wird von allen Beteiligten akzeptiert, weil es mit ihnen entwickelt und angewandt wird und dadurch für sie durchschaubar ist. Es verfügt über ein systematisches Rückmeldeverfahren, durch das die Mitarbeiter ständig über ihre Produktivität informiert werden und unterstützt dadurch eine zielorientierte Selbstorganisation von Arbeitsgruppen, wie sie moderne Organisationskonzepte fordern. Das \/erfahren kann auf einfache Weise mit Zielvereinbarungsprogrammen und Entlohnungssystemen kombiniert werden.
