Der Autor verdeutlicht im Einzelnen die Gefahren, die nach seiner Meinung mit der Stammzellforschung, dem Klonen und den Manipulationen des menschlichen Erbguts verbunden sind. Er versucht die gegenseitigen Interessen zwischen der gentechnischen Forschung, den Medien und der Wirtschaft offenzulegen und prangert insbesondere die häufig postulierte "Ethik des Heilens" als vorgeschoben an. Ein gewichtiger Vorwurf Rehders ist die manipulative Verwendung der Sprache, mit der interessierte Kreise ethisch bedenkliche Eingriffe zu kaschieren und bagatellisieren versuchen. Ein ähnlicher Sprachstil ist aber auch dem Autor vorzuhalten. Er bedient sich teilweise einer plakativen, eher auf polemischen Effekt ausgerichteten Terminologie. Eine - ähnlich wie B. Zarzer (BA 4/06)- faktenreiche und detailliert recherchierte "Streitschrift", weniger eine sachlich ausgewogene Analyse, die auch Chancen und Möglichkeiten der Gentechnik berücksichtigt. (2)
