Gemeinsam mit Akteuren in Berlin untersucht netWORKS 4, wie durch die Verknüpfung blauer, grüner und grauer Infrastrukturen Potenziale für eine klimagerechte Stadtentwicklung genutzt werden können. Dabei geht es darum, die Qualität städtischer Quartiere in Neubau- und Bestandsvorhaben für die Stadtbewohner*innen zu verbessern. Die planerischen Machbarkeitsstudien zeigen exemplarisch für einen Transformationsraum in Berlin, dass mit dem von netWORKS 4 entwickelten Vorgehen effektive Wasserkonzepte für Wohnsiedlungen und soziale Infrastrukturen entwickelt werden konnten. Die partizipativ erarbeiteten Lösungsoptionen leisten Beiträge zu vielfältigen planerischen Zielen. Für verschiedene Teilgebiete konnte eine weitgehende Abkopplung vom Mischkanalsystem erreicht werden und auch das Überflutungsrisiko auf Grundstücken konnte gemindert werden. Mit den Machbarkeitsstudien erhalten die Akteure in Stadtplanung und Politik Vorschläge für Gestaltungsvarianten für stadttypische Vorhaben im Bereich sozialer Infrastrukturen (Kita und Schule) und für die Freiraumentwicklung im Wohnungsbestand und Neubauvorhaben. Die Machbarkeitsstudien zeigen, wie sich auf Basis blau-grün-grau gekoppelter Infrastrukturen zukunftsfähige und für die Bevölkerung attraktive Lösungen für den städtischen Umgang mit Wasser entwickeln lassen.
