Sie erzählt eine bewegte Familiengeschichte zwischen jüdischer, deutscher und kommunistischer Identität. Eine Geschichte von starken Frauen und einem besonderen Vater. Und die Geschichte einer Familie mit vielen Namen. Mit ihren Aufzeichnungen und einem reichen Schatz an Familienfotos und Dokumenten wandte sich Kathrin Reiher 2007 an Rohnstock Biografien. Die Autobiografikerin Susanne Plath sichtete und bearbeitete das Material. In Gesprächen trugen sie weitere Details und Erinnerungen zusammen. Es entstand eine facettenreiche Erzählung, mit der sich Kathrin Reiher der Geschichte ihrer Eltern nähert und sie lebendig hält. Für ihre Enkeltochter. Für sich selbst. Und für die, die all die Namen trugen, die sie unvergessen wissen möchte.
