Nach ihrem Band "Tai Chi für Kinder" (BA 7/07) hat die Tai-Chi-Lehrerin Reik ein Programm für die andere Lebensphase erstellt, das auf ihren Senioren-Kursen basiert, mit ansteigendem Niveau, aber immer an den Möglichkeiten der Generation 50 plus orientiert, liefert Reik eine Fülle von Übungen aus dem traditionellen Yang-Stil (bekannt durch seine "8 Brokate") - sowohl als Einzel- wie auch (zumeist) als Partnerübung zu praktizieren. Zwischen den Übungen zum Aufwärmen & Lockern und solchen zum Abschließen stehen Einzel- & Partnerübungen sowie Spiele, auf deren Basis die 1. kleine Tai-Chi-Form eingeübt wird; als Krönung dann die Kurzform aus dem "Erde"-Zyklus des traditionellen Tai Chi. Besonders motivierend: Die "Models", die hier jede Übung in Farbfotos illustrieren, sind zwischen 56 und 84 Jahre alt. Jede Position bzw. Übungsreihe ist neben Anleitungen zur Ausführung auch hinsichtlich ihrer Wirkung beschrieben sowie mit Hinweisen zur Beachtung und Varianten bei bestimmten Altersproblemen versehen. - Empfohlen, besonders im Kontext entsprechender Kursangebote; es gibt nichts Vergleichbares.
