Weil die zu Worte kommenden Väter auch wieder zurückblicken auf ihre Väter, erfährt man wahre generationenübergreifende Familiengeschichten. Die schwarz-weißen Fotos verstärken und kommentieren die Schattierungen in der Beziehung zwischen Vater und Sohn über die Interviewtexte hinaus. Was den Band aus dem Persönlichen heraushebt, ist die Tatsache, dass Fotos und Texte beim Betrachter/Leser unweigerlich Assoziationen an die eigene Beziehung zum Vater wachrufen. - Trotz hohen, durchaus berechtigten Preises vielen Bibliotheken empfohlen.
