Note:
Mensch-Maschine-Schnittstellen (MMS) gibt es, seit der Mensch Maschinen nutzt. Faustkeile, Pfeil und Bogen, Wagenlenkung usw. Schon hier lassen sich rudimentär Fragen der leichten Handhabbarkeit, der Kontrollierbarkeit und der Sicherheit zeigen. Doch erst die hohe Komplexität heutiger Systeme, gepaart mit neuen technischen Möglichkeiten, erfordert die eingehende Behandlung dieses Problemfeldes. Während zum Thema Mensch-Maschine-Schnittstelle im allgemeinen viel Literatur, z. B. [BEN81] vorliegt, finden sich über die MMS bei Echtzeitsystemen nur verstreute Artikel. Es soll daher versucht werden, auf die speziellen Anforderungen einzugehen, die Echtzeitsysteme an die MMS stellen. Wesentliche Einflußgrößen sind dabei: - die Prozeßdynamik, - die Enge der Kopplung des Benutzers an den Prozeß und - die vom Prozeß ereignisgesteuerte unregelmäßige Belastung des Benutzers, mit ihren Anforderungen an die Reaktionszeit im Gegensatz zur mehr durchsatzorientierten Belastung, z. B. bei der Datenerfassung. Weitere Schwerpunkte des Buches sind die Darstellung der gerätemäßigen Realisierung, sowie die der sich daraus ergebenden Konsequenzen für die Software. Dabei soll nicht nur auf den Normalbetrieb, sondern auch (hier besonders wichtig) auf das Verhalten im Fehlerfall und in Notfallsituationen eingegangen werden
