It is an oral history of Mixcoac and how it evolved from a quiet, pastoral setting into a colonia of Mexico's capital. The film is part of the oral history project conducted by the Instituto Mora. As such, a team of collectors of personal memories interviewed 28 informants of the houses in town, the interior gardens, the architecture, the streetcars, the market, the silent movie house, the fruit trees, and the fragrance of the flowers that once beautified the scenic landscape
