Und sogar der Unfall als ein zufälliges, nichtintentionales Ereignis lässt sich dieser Denkfigur noch zuordnen. In Roeblings Buch werden die gedanklichen Strukturen des ›acte gratuit‹ offen gelegt. Ausgangspunkt ist André Gides Sotie Les caves du Vatican, in der ein anscheinend unmotivierter Mord geschildert wird.
