Emerich Roth föddes 1924 i dåvarande Tjeckoslovakien. År 1950 kom han till Sverige efter att ha överlevt fruktansvärda övergrepp i Auschwitz. Han utbildade sig till socialarbetare och ägnade en stor del av sitt liv åt att arbeta med människor och att sprida kunskap om hur vi tillsammans kan motverka hat och att historien upprepar sig. Många är de som berörts och blivit hjälpta av Emerich och hans tro på människan. I en tid av ökande polarisering i samhället är berättelsen om Emerich Roth viktigare än någonsin. I januari 2022 avled Emerich och hans bortgång innebär att det nu finns ännu färre överlevande som kan berätta om övergreppen som skedde under andra världskriget. Med hjälp av hans bok kan vi fortsätta tala om Förintelsen.
