Der Band aus der Reihe "Zum Glück ..." (vgl. 3 weitere Titel in dieser Nr.) widmet sich dem früh verstorbenen Pharao Tutanchamun. Gut recherchiert stellt der knappe Text dessen Großeltern, u.a. Nofretete, und den Hintergrund der Zeit vor 3.200 Jahren vor. Ein Drittel des Bandes beschäftigt sich mit altägyptischen Beerdigungsriten, v.a. der Einbalsamierung, und den Gefahren nach dem Tode durch Grabräuber, aber auch durch moderne Forscher, die 1922 das Grab Tutanchamuns entdeckten. Der Autor erzählt das Leben des historisch nicht sonderlich wichtigen Pharaos spannend und unterhaltsam. Ein großer Teil der Attraktivität des Bandes liegt in den comicähnlichen Illustrationen Antrams, die aus - in den Augen vieler Jugendlicher - wenig interessanten Auseinandersetzungen um Religion eine witzige Geschichte machen. Der Band hat etliche Ähnlichkeiten mit der früheren Reihe "Sei froh, dass du keine ..." (z.B. BA 3/04) der gleichen Verfasser und bietet inhaltlich weniger als etwa Ackroyd "Zeit der Pharaonen" (BA 5/05).
