Die Protagonistin, immer nur mit ihrem angeheirateten Nachnamen Schneider genannt, ist eine junge Israelin, die als Entwicklerin von Computerspielen arbeitet. Ihr Leben wird anhand von drei Wendepunkten porträtiert: Zunächst ihre Hochzeit und die Flitterwochen mit Jonatan Schneider, von dem sie nicht so recht überzeugt ist. Einige Jahre später ist sie im Krankenhaus, wo ihre Tochter als Frühgeburt zur Welt kommt und Schneider sich zwischen Hoffen und Bangen, Milchabpumpen, Wickeln und dem monotonen Klinikeinerlei wiederfindet. Wieder einige Jahre später besucht Schneider mit einem Kollegen einen Technoclub, zwischen Drogen und Gedanken ans Fremdgehen möchte sie aus ihrer Rolle als Ehefrau und Mutter ausbrechen. Während die ersten beiden Teile akribisch und detailliert, streckenweise sehr langatmig Schneiders Befinden beschreiben, belohnt der dritte Teil mit seiner Dynamik und seinem Tempo, er ist als interaktives Spiel angelegt, bei dem der*die Leser*in mit entscheidet, wie es weitergeht. Der Debütroman der Journalistin und Literaturredakteurin ist für ausgebaute Belletristikbestände ein Gewinn.
