In diesem Sammelband werden Beiträge zu der Sektion «Sprachkontakt, Sprachvariation, Migration: Methodenfragen und Prozessanalysen» publiziert, die im Rahmen des XXXII. Romanistentages Romanistik im Dialog vom 25.09. bis 28.09.2011 in Berlin stattfand. Schwerpunkt der Sektionsarbeit war die kontrastive Gegenüberstellung von ortsstabilen, statischen und ortsmobilen, dynamischen Sprachkontakten, wobei vor allem die durch Migration ausgelösten Prozesse von Sprachkontakt, Sprachwandel und sprachlich vermitteltem Kulturtransfer sowie deren Ausprägungen und Folgen im Zentrum der Analyse stehen sollten.
