Dazu - allem Bilderverbot zum Trotz und ebenfalls der Zugänglichkeit geschuldet - ist das Buch mit Miniaturen aus der islamischen Welt versehen (u.a. Mohammed). So schön die Ausstattung, so harmonisch die Aussagetendenz: Wörter wie Dschihad, Schleier oder Scharia findet man hier nicht; stattdessen wird die humanistische Ausrichtung des Korans kultiviert. Deshalb von weichgespültem Islam zu reden, verbietet sich. Ein Buch, das zur Originallektüre anregen soll und sicher auch den Islamkunde- und Religionsunterricht bereichert. - Breit empfohlen.. - Die vor allem für jugendliche Interessenten verständlich aufbereitete Übersetzung des Korans bietet einen hilfreichen Schlüssel zum Kennenlernen des heiligen Buchs der Muslime.
