Dies ist nicht das Ende der Welt, aber man kann es von hier aus sehen. So ist das in etwa in Raufarhöfn, ganz im Norden von Island gelegen. Viel ist hier nicht los, doch dann verschwindet der einflussreiche Robert McKenzie. Und hinterlässt keine Spuren. Als Kalmann im Schnee eine große Blutlache entdeckt, alarmiert dies die Polizistin Birna, die sich alsbald vor großen Problemen sieht. "Kalmann" ist ein wunderbarer Roman (Buch: ID-A 41/20), den der in Hamburg geborene Schauspieler Timo Weisschnur bravourös eingelesen hat. Die Erzählperspektive unterstützt die gefühlte Glaubwürdigkeit dessen, was da von Kalmann berichtet wird. Er ist der Sheriff von Raufarhöfn, so richtig mit Stern und Mauser im Halfter. Timo Weisschnur ist ungefähr im selben Alter wie Kalmann, vielleicht unterstützt dies den positiven Eindruck. Er lässt diese besonderen Typen des Dorfes lebendig werden. Gleichzeitig erzählt der Roman von einem Kriminalfall. Das hält die Spannung hoch, bei den Zuhörern und beim Interpreten. Und der Verlag gönnt den Interessierten die vollständige Textfassung. Perfekt. Alles richtig gemacht!
