"Die Gestaltung der entwickelten sozialistischen Gesellschaft in der DDR ist durch Kontinuität und zugleich Erneuerung gekennzeichnet." Sozialismus müsse als revolutionärer Vorgang und nicht als statischer Zustand begriffen werden. Er sei keine kurzzeitige Phase auf dem Weg zum Kommunismus, sondern benötige einen längeren geschichtlichen Zeitraum. "Die Praxis erweist, daß es kein für alle sozialistischen Länder geletendes Modell, keine Schablone gibt." Das gelte gleichermaßen für Vergangenheit und Gegenwart. Es sei gefährlich, "unter der Flagge der Suche nach der geschichtlichen Wahrheit zu entstellen." Zu den unverzichtbaren Grundpfeilern gehöre die Führung der Gesellschaft durch die marxistisch-leninistische Partei. (IGW-Byr)
