Es waren schon immer Geschichten, die in fernen Welten spielen und die Leser auf spannende Reisen mitnehmen, die Carina Schnell am meisten fesseln konnten. Daraus hat sich auch ihre Liebe zu fremden Ländern, Sprachen und Kulturen entwickelt. Sie schrieb schon in jungen Jahren, verbrachte aber nach dem Abitur erst einmal viel Zeit im Ausland mit dem Studium mehrerer Fremdsprachen. Danach absolvierte sie einen Bachelor in Übersetzungswissenschaft an der Universität Heidelberg und einen Master im Fachübersetzen an der Universität Genf. Während sie neben dem Studium als Lehrerin für Deutsch als Fremdsprache tätig war, entdeckte sie die Liebe zu ihrer Muttersprache neu und begann wieder zu schreiben. Aktuell lebt und arbeitet die gebürtige Deutsche als Literaturübersetzerin und Autorin in der Schweiz.
