Das Wetter im Kriminalroman wird vielfach nur als Beiwerk wahrgenommen und wurde bisher auch in der literaturwissenschaftlichen Forschung meist vernachlässigt. Katia Schorn ändert das und analysiert im Rahmen eines historischen Durchgangs die Funktionsgeschichte des Wetters im französischen Kriminalroman. Anhand ausgewählter Texte von den Vorläufern im 19. Jahrhundert bis zur Gegenwart entwickelt sie eine gattungspoetologische Annäherung an meteorologische Phänomene im Kriminalroman - und zeigt, dass in Krimis durchaus die Sonne scheint.
