Es gibt nur ein Problem: Gloria, C.J.s Mutter möchte keinen Hund bei sich haben. Deshalb muss C.J. Molly heimlich zu sich nehmen. Am Anfang klappt alles problemlos, im Kellerversteck ist Molly gut aufgehoben. Doch Mollys Neugier wächst und schon bald steht er vor Gloria! - Der neue Band (vgl. zuletzt "Bailey findet ein Zuhause", ID-A 9/17) des Autors, der bekannt für seine Welpengeschichten ist, wird Kinderherzen begeistern. Spannend bis zum Schluss, eine herzzerreißende Geschichte über bedingungslose Liebe mit viel Emotionen. Wenig großflächige Schwarz-Weiß-Karikaturen, dafür ein ansprechendes Cover. Unbedingt zur Anschaffung breit empfohlen.
