Unterstützt werden sie dabei von einem Zeitungsreporter und einem Jungen, der plötzlich auftaucht und sich als "Umweltengel" bezeichnet. Dieser nimmt hilfreich an den gefährlichen Spionagen teil, die die Jungdetektive letztlich in einen alten, vom Entsorgungsunternehmen mit Altöl verseuchten Schacht führen. Dort werden sie vom brutalen Wachpersonal der verbrecherischen Firma festgehalten. Eine E-Mail-Botschaft, die der Computerexperte der Jugendgruppe vorher an den Reporter geschickt hat, bringt ihnen Rettung. Ein spannender und zugleich gesellschaftskritischer Umweltkrimi, überall zu empfehlen.
