Diese Auswahl von 35 Kinderliedern vereint bekannte und beliebte deutsche Kinderlieder mit Liedern aus anderen Kulturen. Viele Lieder werden dabei in verschiedenen Sprachen gesungen (u.a. Englisch, Türkisch, Arabisch). Die Auswahl der Lieder orientiert sich an verschiedenen Singanlässen wie Begrüßen und Verabschieden, an Festen (Geburtstag, Weihnachten, Laterne laufen) oder den Jahreszeiten. Die vielfältigen, einfallsreichen Arrangements reichen von schlichter Klavier- oder Gitarrenbegleitung über folkloristische und poppige Bearbeitungen bis hin zur wunderbaren Jazzbegleitung von "Backe, backe Kuchen".
