Note:
Mit zunehmenden Anforderungen an rotierende Maschinen hinsichtlich größerer Leistungsdichten und Drehzahlen, sowie hoher Betriebssicherheit und Verfügbarkeit spielen Fragen des dynamischen Verhaltens solcher Maschinen eine wesentliche Rolle. Trotz einer langen Geschichte der Rotordynamik treten immer wieder neue Problemstellungen in Erscheinung, die Gegenstand weiterführender Forschung in Theorie und Praxis sind. Hier sind insbesondere die aktuellen Forschungsgebiete der Stabilitätsanalyse, der aktiven und passiven Lagerung, der experimentellen Analyse mit den modernen Richtungen der Parameteridentifikation und Modal-Analyse sowie die für die Praxis wichtigen Entwicklungen zur Betriebsüberwachung und Schadensdiagnose zu nennen. Zusammen mit einer Reihe von speziellen Problemen der Rotordynamik bildeten diese Themenkreise den Inhalt der internationalen Tagung über "Schwingungen in rotierenden Maschinen" (SIRM), die unter der wissenschaftlichen Leitung von Prof. Dr. -Ing. H. Irretier, Kassel, Prof. Dr. -Ing. R. Nordmann, Kaiserslautern und Prof. Dr. -Ing. techn. H. Springer, Wien am 2. und 3. März 1995 an der Universität Kaiserslautern durchgeführt wurde. Bereits die ersten beiden Tagungen in Kassel (1991) und in Wien (1993) haben gezeigt, daß die SIRM ein regelmäßiges Forum für Diskussionen zwischen Maschinenherstellern, Maschinenbetreibern und Vertretern der Wissenschaft bilden kann. Auch die dritte Veranstaltung in Kaiserslautern fand erneut großes Interesse, sowohl bei Ingenieuren der Praxis als auch bei Wissenschaftlern an Hochschulen und Forschungsinstituten. Die Veranstalter sehen dies als ein positives Zeichen für die weitere Entwicklung der SIRM-Tagung
