Autorin, Fotografin und Foodbloggerin Nicole Stich (s. zuletzt "Reisehunger", ID-A 12/15) zieht es immer wieder nach Singapur und zu den dortigen Restaurants und Streetfoodständen, die einen bunten Querschnitt der asiatischen Kochkunst bilden und ständig im Wandel begriffen sind. Im vorliegenden Titel hat sie ihre persönlichen Lieblingsrezepte zum Nachkochen zusammengestellt, versehen mit Basics zu Küchenausstattung und Warenkunde, vielen appetitlichen Rezeptfotos und praktischen Tipps und Tricks zu den einzelnen Gerichten. Das Nachkochen ist nicht schwierig, allerdings benötigen einige der für vier Portionen berechneten Gerichte eine längere Koch- und/oder Marinierzeit, die bei den übersichtlichen Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitungen jeweils angegeben ist.
