Seit Jahren zählen Professional Service Firms (PSF) zu den attraktivsten Arbeitgebern in Deutschland. Doch sich verändernde Lebensansprüche, insbesondere der Generation Y, machen eine Bindung der High Potentials in PSFs immer schwieriger. Vor diesem Hintergrund ist es das Ziel der Arbeit herauszufinden, ob durch die Nutzung von Work-Life-Balance-Initiativen (WLB-Initiativen) die Fluktuation in PSFs jenseits der Karriereprinzipien «up-or-out» reduziert wird. Mit Hilfe einer Strukturgleichungsanalyse stellt der Autor fest, dass WLB-Initiativen die Fluktuationsneigung von Mitarbeitern reduzieren und somit eine langfristige Bindung wahrscheinlicher wird. Gleichzeitig zeigt der Autor jedoch kritisch auf, dass die Wirkung von WLB-Initiativen zur Bindung von Mitarbeitern nicht überbewertet werden sollte und verweist dabei auch auf weitere Stellhebel mit möglicherweise größerem Bindungseffekt.
