(BA 7/89) beschreibt Sulzenbacher anhand ihres Buches "Die Gletschermumie" (BA 4/01), wie ein Sachbuch entsteht. Beginnend mit der Idee über die Recherche und die Vorarbeiten im Verlag, über die Arbeit am Zeichen- und Schreibtisch und dem Fotostudio bis zur Manuskriptprüfung und der Bildbearbeitung. Von der Buchdruckerei über die Auslieferung, die Werbeaktivitäten, den Verkauf bis zum Leser. Dies alles schafft sie in einem einfachen, leicht verständlichen Ton, der niemanden überfordert und die Buchherstellung trotzdem zu einer spannenden Sache werden lässt. Anhand von eingedruckten Post-it-Notizen werden Fachbegriffe verständlich erklärt. Hier erfährt man auch, was der Drucker mit Zwiebelfisch, Witwe oder Schusterjunge meint. Am Ende sind anhand von witzigen Zeichnungen noch einmal sämtliche Berufsgruppen, die an der Buchherstellung beteiligt sind, mit stichwortartigen Tätigkeitsbeschreibungen aufgezählt.
