Durch die Auswertung bisher nicht gesichteten Quellenmaterials wurde die Biographie Vincent Lübecks bezüglich Herkunft, Ausbildung, privater Lebensumstände, Nennung von Schülern, Orgelsachverständigentätigkeit und Bedeutung für seine Epoche ergänzt und korrigiert. Quellen- und Editionskritik sowie das erstmals erstellte Werkverzeichnis berücksichtigen zwei neuentdeckte autographe Kantaten. Die Werkanalysen ergeben, daß Lübeck in seinen freien Orgelwerken den Schritt von der mehrteiligen Satzanlage zum Zyklus Praeludium et Fuga vollzog und daß seine satztechnische Vorliebe Fugen mit Imitationsplänen von einer für ihn typischen Gesetzmäßigkeit galt. Grundlage für die Diskussion "mitteltöniger Urfassungen" und Registrierung der Orgelwerke sind Lübecks Orgelgutachten.
