Seine Programme strickt der Berliner Bandleader um die Eigenheiten der Inhalte und im Fall von „An Berliner Kinder“ sind es Gedichte von Ringelnatz, Hugo Ball oder auch Shakespeare, die ihn zu seinen Klanggebäuden inspiriert haben. Mit Sänger Michael Schiefel und seinem ausgezeichneten Ensemble spürt er dem Witz des Allzumenschlichen nach, musikalisch als schillerndes Kontrastgemenge von fragilen Bläsern und kraftvoll groovendem Ensemble inszeniert“ (Ralf Dombrowski, Audio 11/12). „Die Gedichte von Joachim Ringelnatz (d.i. Thärichens Tentett - mit leichter personeller Veränderung - hat sich erneut als Garant für ein nicht nur ausgefallenes, hervorragendes, sondern nachgerade delikates Hörvergnügen erwiesen.
