In den literarischen Texten von Jack Kerouac, Rolf Dieter Brinkmann, Rainald Goetz und Thomas Meinecke fungiert populäre Musik beispielsweise ganz explizit als Medium der Textkonstitution. Markus Tillmann verfolgt die dabei aufscheinenden intermedialen Zusammenhänge zwischen musikalischer und literarischer Produktionsästhetik von den Beat Poets über die Punk- und Industrial-Szene bis hin zur DJ Culture.
