So wird unterhaltsam in Alltagssprache und -situationen eingeführt und gleichzeitig der Unterschied zwischen amerikanischem und britischem Englisch herausgearbeitet. Sehr nützlich sind hier auch die CDs mit den Dialogen (unterschiedliche Akzente), Hörverständnis- und Ausspracheübungen. Das Lehrbuch ist sehr ansprechend gestaltet - farbige Illustrationen, Fotos, Wichtiges farblich hervorgehoben - und enthält außerdem Lerntipps, Infos zu Land und Leuten und im Anhang Lösungen, Kurzgrammatik und Vokabular. Empfehlenswerter Selbstlernkurs, der solide Kenntnisse in Grammatik und Vokabular vermittelt, um Alltagssituationen zu meistern.
