Skizzen nicht im Sinne einer Vorstufe oder Vorarbeit zu einer im nächsten Schritt zu realisierenden Form, sondern als zentrale Verfahrenweise. Wenn es vermeintlich eindeutige Rahmungen, Formen und Muster in seinen Filmen gibt, dann werden sie spielerisch ironisiert; nicht um sich über sie zu erheben, was nur hieße, eine wiederum souveräne Position einzunehmen, sondern um etwas freizusetzen, was jenseits davon ist. Bruno Derksens Film-Arbeiten sind ein geduldiges Tasten, das weitaus mehr zu Tage fördert als so Vieles, das auf der Grundlage von fest gefügten Konzepten entsteht. Er geht von etwas aus, das in der filmischen Praxis sehr selten geworden ist: vom selber gesehenen. Er arbeitet mit Freunden, Gleichgesinnten, wobei nicht der Grad der technischen Erfahrung der Beteiligten von Belang ist, sondern das gemeinsame Interesse am Projekt.
