Urberuaga schafft unnachahmliche Stimmungsbilder in nachtdunklen Blau- und Grüntönen, auf denen der Mond kleine goldene Lichter auf Wasser, Bäume und Wiesen zaubert, oder mit mondlichterfüllten Innenraumansichten der Hütte des Krokodils. Als Kroko, ein sympathisches, aufrecht gehendes Krokodil mit Kulleraugen, einsieht, wieviele Menschen den Mond vermissen, bringt er ihn sofort zurück. Geteilte Freude ist eben doch doppelte Freude - wunderschön vermittelt in dem leuchtenden Bilderbuch.. - Kroko, das freundliche Krokodil, kann sich am Mond nicht satt sehen.
