Fabian, Königssohn der Blauen, überlebt. Aber erst durch eine List gelingt es ihm, den Krieg wirlich zu beenden. A. Vaugelade (vgl. u.a. "Philomenas Füße", BA 12/97) hat sich eine pfiffige Geschichte erdacht. Adäqut die Illustration: In lebhaften, temporeichen Szenen verdeutlicht sie die Emotionen der in das Geschehen verwickelten Menschen, skizziert mit schnellem Strich nach Angst und Schrecken die glückliche Erleichterung in ihren Gesichtern. Mitreißend die Verbrüderungsszene zwischen Blauen und Roten, die in gemeinsam erbauter Zeltstadt zufrieden im Suppentopf rühren. Die klare Aussage des Buches, die Sinnlosigkeit von Krieg, kommt überzeugend an. - Sehr empfohlen.
