Standardwerk aus dem Hause DETAIL zum Thema Building Information Modeling (BIM) in der Praxis arbeitet die Qualitäten wie auch die Herausforderungen im Umgang mit der Digitalisierung des Bauwesens und mit BIM heraus. Auf den 128 Seiten kommen neben sogenannten Global Playern und mittelständischen Büros und Unternehmen auch ausgewählte Protagonisten des ersten Bandes erneut zu Wort, ziehen ihr persönliches Resümee und geben wertvolle Einblicke in ihre BIM-Arbeit (strategisch und operativ). In Ergänzung zu den Praxisbeispielen werden aktuelle Studien-, Fort- und Weiterbildungsangebote benannt, Analogien zu anderen Wirtschaftszweigen aufgezeigt und der internationale Blick auf BIM und das Bauwesen gezeigt. Hinzu kommen Statements zum Thema Forschung, Anwendung, Lehre, Wirtschaft und Politik. Mit dem Buch möchten die Herausgeber vor allem eines zeigen: dass Effizienz, Qualität und fortschreitende Digitalisierung einhergehen können – auf dem Weg zu einzigartiger, qualitätsvoller und zukunftsweisender Architektur.
