Fotodokumentation und Erinnerungen aus den Jahren 1978 bis 1986 eines Ostberliners, der sich mit der Mauer in seiner Stadt nicht abfinden mochte und die Ostseite des antifaschistischen Schutzwalls in Berlin illegal in Bildern festgehalten hat. Rezension: Vom Verlag Ch. Links sind wir stets sehr gute, aber auch besondere Bücher gewohnt, und Bilddokumentationen zur Geschichte der Mauer gibt es inzwischen auch zahlreiche (zuletzt Jürgen Hohmuth: "Keine besonderen Vorkommnisse", 2015). Die Berliner Mauer war einst Metapher eines weltweit kalten Krieges, dessen Front mitten durch Deutschland ging; bis auf wenige Überreste mit Denkmalcharakter ist sie verschwunden, Berlin-Touristen suchen ihren ehemaligen Verlauf und das, was im Stadtbild von ihr blieb. Auch wenn sie den im Strassenverlauf eingelassenen Markierungen folgen, haben sie es nicht leicht, sich die Situation, wie sie bis 1989 bestand, tatsächlich vorzustellen. Diesem Zweck und auch für das Thema "Berliner Mauer" im Unterricht mag auch dieser gut gearbeitete Band nutzen, der die zwischen 1978 bis 1986 selbstverständlich illegal entstandene Fotodokumentation eines Ostberliners präsentiert, dem es nicht darum ging, eine Flucht vorzubereiten, sondern darum, "die Situation festzuhalten, die mich so belastet".
