Employing longitudinal causal analysis, the author explores and evaluates the relationship between trade interdependence and the patterns of international conflicts with particular reference to Asian economic interdependence. He thinks that the magnitude of economic interactions does not appear to be a necessary condition for improvement of relations between trading states. (DÜI-Sen)
